The Jerusalem Middle East correspondent was inspired to create a rocking chair in her living room in Tel Aviv, but the chair is far from cheap.
“It’s a bit of a gamble, but I feel that this is the right solution for me,” the reporter told Haaretz.
“The chairs that I own have a lot of money in them, so they’re expensive.”
The chair, designed by architect Dov Zilberman and constructed by a subcontractor, is about $3,500.
The cost is less than half the price of a similar chair in Jerusalem.
“In Tel Aviv there are about two-thirds of the chairs that are still in use.
It’s a lot less than that,” Zilbernman said.
“I want to show people that a good chair can make a big difference in the quality of your life.”
In the past, Zilberman’s own living room chairs were too expensive for the people in it.
“My house is so expensive that I had to buy a couple of chairs,” he said.
Zilbers chair is made of wood and comes with a leather strap.
“They are made from the best materials, they are very durable, and they are made for the living room.
It feels like you’re in the living area.”
The reporter bought the chair on the day of its launch and started taking it out to the backyard to take photos.
The chair is easy to use, with a push button on the back that can be pressed for a wide range of motions.
“After a while, the people who are visiting the house can relax,” Zils chair owner told Ha’aretz.
There are no cords on the chair, and it is not connected to the power grid.
It is also not meant for the children to sit on.
The chairs price tag is not a big deal to the photographer.
“Most people don’t realize that the chair has two wheels, and there is a small wheel on the bottom of the chair,” the photographer told Ha-aretz.
The camera is on the other side of the table, and the chair’s back is facing the camera, making it easy to move around and take photos while still keeping the chair in place.
Zils office is in the center of the house, where the camera is located, so he has no problem with the camera sitting on the floor.
The photographer said that the chairs price is also cheaper than the one that he had bought in the beginning of the year, but he was happy to pay more than he needed to.
“If I want to take a picture of someone, I’ll pay $200 for it,” he told HaD.
“For a picture, I’d rather pay $1,200 for a chair than $3.”
