The indoor chicken hut may be more than just a decorative fixture, it may also serve as a food storage and cooking utensil.
If you’re not sure what to do with an outdoor chicken, you’re in luck, as this post will guide you through the process of turning an outdoor hutch into a functional indoor grill.
This is a very basic method, but it’s a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to add a nice outdoor flavor to your kitchen.
Step 1: Cut out the exterior piece of the chicken hut.
Cut a rectangle roughly the size of the indoor chicken hut, and cut out the perimeter with a table saw.
Step 2: Cut a small opening in the top of the hutch.
Cut an opening about 1/4 inch deep at the top.
This will allow the chicken to fit through.
Step 3: Place the chicken on the inside of the hut.
Step 4: Make sure the hut is level and the chicken is level with the top edge of the wooden floor.
Step 5: Place a piece of wood on top of a piece, and stick the chicken through this hole.
Step 6: Place your food storage container inside.
This container should be about the same size as the chicken huts ceiling.
Step 7: Put a piece with the chicken inside the huts top shelf.
Step 8: Repeat the process with the next piece of food storage, so the chicken stays on the top shelf when the hut is closed.
This process can take a few minutes, but you should be able to finish it in about an hour.
Step 9: Add a few more pieces of food and a few feet of your food.
It’s time to cook!
Step 10: Make your chicken hutt.
This should look like a typical chicken hut with a couple extra pieces added.
Step 11: Take a pot and fill it up with about a quart of water.
Step 12: Fill the pot with about 2 inches of chicken.
Step 13: Let it sit in the water for about 30 minutes.
Step 14: Remove the hutt and place it in the oven for about 45 minutes, or until the chicken has cooked.
Step 15: Serve the chicken, or use it for your next meal.
This process will make a huge difference in your kitchen!
